Cabinet & Millwork Installation FAQs

Do you make cabinets, or only install them?

We are an installation-only contractor. We don’t build or manufacture cabinets. We work directly with your cabinet maker, designer, or supplier and handle the precision installation of cabinets and millwork on site — setting, leveling, scribing, securing, and finishing every piece. If you need someone to build cabinets, we’re happy to refer you to trusted shops we work with.

What does the cabinet installation process look like?

We start with an on-site consultation to review the space, the cabinets being supplied, and your designer’s plans. Once scope and timing are confirmed, we prep the site, verify measurements, and begin installation — setting cabinets plumb and level, scribing fillers, hanging doors, aligning drawers and reveals, and finishing trim. We close out with a walk-through to make sure everything works the way it should.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. W2W Cabinet & Millwork Installation is a licensed California C-6 Cabinet, Millwork & Finish Carpentry contractor (CSLB License #1087162) and fully insured. You can verify our license at any time on the California Contractors State License Board website at cslb.ca.gov.

What areas of California do you serve?

We serve homeowners, designers, builders, and cabinet makers across California, with a focus on the Central Valley and Northern California. For larger commercial projects, we travel further. Reach out with your project location and we’ll let you know if we’re a fit.

How long does a typical kitchen cabinet installation take?

Most residential kitchen installs take between 3 and 7 working days, depending on the size of the kitchen, the number of cabinets, and added millwork like crown molding and trim. We provide a clear timeline upfront after walking the site.

Do you work with cabinet makers, designers, and general contractors?

Yes — a big part of our work is partnering with cabinet shops, kitchen designers, interior designers, and general contractors. We integrate cleanly into your existing schedule and project workflow, and we communicate clearly through every phase so the install lands on time and looks the way the designer envisioned.

What types of cabinets and millwork can you install?

We install custom kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, walk-in closets, home offices, entertainment centers, and full home cabinet packages. On the millwork side: crown molding, baseboards, wainscoting, custom trim, wall paneling, and decorative wood detailing for both residential and commercial spaces.
